Pastor Alvin Jones is a native of West End, NC. He was saved at a young age of eight years old and realized his calling early in life. After high school Pastor Alvin served four years in the United States Army stationed at Ft. Louis, Washington and Hawaii. After the military, Pastor Alvin continued his education at Liberty University and majored in Biblical Studies. Pastor Alvin has been married to his lovely wife Sevena Jones, for twenty-four years. Sevena accepted the call of salvation at a very young age and has been making advancements for the Kingdom ever since. She is a virtuous woman indeed because she graciously and willfully meets the needs of her husband and children. Pastor Alvin and Sevena have three children Alexander, Jessica and Ashley.

Pastor Alvin was called to preach as a young man and accepted the call of God for his life at the age of sixteen. He gained spiritual foundation through St. Ruth United Church of God, Pastor Lillian Ruth Kearns. He was also a member of North Ramsey Street Church of God where he was an Associate Minister in Fayetteville, NC under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth Hill. Pastor Alvin, often called “the barefoot prophet” truly walks in the anointing and power of Almighty God. This man of God thirst and hunger after righteousness until he is bursting at the seams. Recognizing and cultivating his gifts, he sincerely utilizes them to edify the body of Christ. He has served the Church in numerous capacities including Pastor’s Council, Lead Sunday School Teacher for college aged students, Leader of the Children’s Ministry, Bible Class Teacher and Interim-Pastor.

Through the process of time God has birthed an awesome burden in him to see the Church come into full possession of God and manifest him in the earth. Not only does he desire to see people educated in the Word, but apply that education to their everyday lives. His passions are to Minister to the Lord and allow the Lord to Minister through him. God has birthed a healing and deliverance anointing upon Pastor Alvin and signs and wonders do follow. His Ministry is touching and impacting missions in Africa and South America. He is dedicated to this latter day move of God for his life, and welcomes the next realm of ministry. Pastor Alvin founded Tabernacle International Church in 2009, a deliverance ministry birthed out of a passion for the lost and the hurting. Tabernacle International church is a church with vision and purpose and is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tabernacle International Church is based on the truth, God’s word and exists to show forth the love of Christ and compel all to come to know Him. Tabernacle is here to foster Total Inward Change! Membership continues to grow at Tabernacle International, and God continues to expand his Kingdom by saving more souls by way of the preached Word. 

 

Not only is Pastor Alvin a pastor, but his passion is to serve God and ministering to people has led him to speak and preach in churches, schools throughout the North Carolina area. Pastor Alvin is a chosen vessel of God to be divinely used in these last days.
